π§π΅πΆπ»πΈππΌππ. As we enjoy the summer season, we are reminded that the days are (literally) long, and the years are short. Visual artist and author Jenny Odell is out with a new book, βSaving Time: Discovering a Life Beyond the Clock.β In an interview published in The New York Times Magazine, she shares:
ββ¦ in situations past, I felt like I needed to protect my time more so that I could do things that I wanted, and it obscured the fact that what I wanted was a sense of connection and meaning, and in order to get that I would have to do something that looked like giving my time away.β
This is a powerful observation, and one that weβve heard, particularly in our patient journey research. EpiphanE is our ethnography methodology, designed to gain deeper and more authentic insights into the experiences, behavior, and emotions of patients and healthcare providers.
