Do You Really Want to Read What Your Doctor Writes About You?

Are you aware that a federal rule, instituted in April 2021, requires that ALL patients be provided with electronic access to ALL notes that their physicians have written about them? You probably didnโ€™t know that, but now that you do what are your reactions? Do you really want to read everything your physician has written about you? Will you understand it? Misinterpret it? And what impact does this transparency have on the honesty of the physicianโ€™s note taking?
